Pamela Casale
Founder
Clear Thinking

Pamela Casale founded Clear Thinking after 20 years as a market strategist for large and small information technology organizations. Her experience with companies seeking customers, building new products or developing distribution strategies uncovered a fundamental obstacle to success – the inability to think clearly about the company’s value proposition as seen by the customer. Using a variety of techniques, Casale helps her clients strip away assumptions, suppositions and educated guesses to get to the facts. When these facts are applied to market planning, product development, pricing or sales training the result is accurate product description, more effective communication, targeted product development, and more focused distribution strategy. Clear Thinking helps companies build products that customers want to buy, at the right price, sold by the right channel and positioned by effective messaging in the market.

Ms. Casale began her career at Xerox Corporation in sales and then sales management. She moved into the high tech arena at Legent Corporation, a half billion-dollar enterprise software company later acquired by Computer Associates. She has held senior executive positions with Baan Company, an ERP, CRM and Supply Chain application company; Merant Software, a leading provider of software development and management tools and services; Sterling Software, an enterprise management company also acquired by Computer Associates, and MAXM Systems a start up acquired by Boole & Babbage whose products are sold today by BMC Software.

Since beginning Clear Thinking Ms. Casale has worked with a variety of IT companies with diverse product offerings including high speed intelligent messaging; remote storage and file transfer; network management; enterprise service assurance; security tools and security management software. In addition to her skills as a market strategist, Ms. Casale is technically intuitive, understands development process and engineering techniques, and is especially strong in product management, product launch and sales readiness. Using her combined experience, Ms. Casale has developed a unique approach that ensures successful product delivery strategically aligned with business objectives.

Ms. Casale resides in Warrenton, Virginia, serves on several community action boards, chairs the Executive Women group of Women in Technology DC area, and acts as an advisor to several high tech companies in the area.
